THEFT

Have you ever tried to look at the world from a theft offenders point of view? "THEFT TALK"™ has made great strides by specializing in theft counseling and by looking at the world in this way. We have learned that if we can look at the world from the theft offenders point of view, their decision to steal, though wrong, makes sense. Yes, though they come to an incorrect conclusion, their decision is logical - when only considering the limited and inaccurate information they are using to make their decisions.Let's face it, people want things. They want a nice house, a nice car, nice jewelry, computers, golf clubs, travel money, to be able to buy gifts, etc. When is the last time you turned down a gift. We humans not only like "things", we like free things. To this end, theft offenders are not all that different from you and I."THEFT TALK"™ is of the opinion that theft offenders are not all that different from you and I. Simply stated, the primary differences include, 1) an overdose of selfishness, 2) a stronger than normal attraction to the forbidden, and 3) thinking errors you and I don't have. Though we do not tell our theft offender clients they need to stop stealing, (the decision to steal is theirs alone), we have been successful at helping theft offenders examine their attitudes, values and beliefs. This process commonly results in theft offenders including new and different information when making their decisions and, a realization of their own thinking errors resulting in a subsequent self correction of their theft behavior. This brief summary is a simplified explanation of how "THEFT TALK"™ works with theft offenders. If you would like to learn more about "THEFT TALK"™ visit our home page.
